Community Social Paddles
Our Community Social paddles are a chance for our community to connect on the water and enjoy a 1-2 hour paddle at a relaxed pace. If you’re looking for a way to make new friends, connect with other paddlers and feel part of something special - these events are for you!
Our Community social paddles happen adhoc throughout the year as a way to bring our community together to catch up, connect and celebrate the incredible women who paddle with us. These catch ups after often created to celebrate key holidays and dates such as Halloween, Christmas, end of season/start of season and therefore are THEMED as we LOVE an excuse to dress-up on our SUPs and have a laugh!!
Introducing, our next THEMED Community Social Paddle of the year…
We’re celebrating the end of the season with a Sunrise Pyjama Party!!
Winter brings cold mornings but some of the most spectacular sunrises! So we wanted our final ‘official’ paddle of the 24/25 season to be a EXTRA SPECIAL Sunrise Paddle… in our PJ’s!! Layer up in your warmest winter pyjamas or even better - a onesie - I will be wearing my pink cat onesie pictured!! Perfect for keeping you warm as you enjoy a spectacular sunrise and celebrate your amazing achievements over the last SUP season.

WHAT TO WEAR
YOUR PYJAMAS! Or if you want to be even warmer - a cosy onesie!! ...or perhaps an Oodie? I don't own one but I've heard they're awesome! The best thing about this theme is it's great for layering clothes underneath to keep nice and warm. COSY is the vibe we are going for!!
Underneath your costume you may like to wear leggings, a merino/synthetic base layer top and fleece, or a wetsuit if you prefer but they can be sweaty. For shoes, in winter it's nice to paddle in reef shoes/surf booties.
COST
2 Hour Community Social Paddle: $35
+ SUP Hire $30
Community Hub members, please see special details on the Hub for you.
ABILITY LEVEL
Suitable for ALL abilities. We recommend that if you haven’t paddled before, you take a lesson first before this event as our Community Social Paddles have a large number of paddlers and it can be a little daunting if you haven’t paddled before. Also for this themed paddle, our instructors will be purely there for safety not instruction, therefore we simply head out onto the water, go for a float at a slow pace, have a good chat, laugh at our amazing costumes, and as always, there’s no pressure to stand! Click here to find out more about our lessons if you need one before this event.
WHAT HAPPENS IF IT’S BAD WEATHER?
We will reach out to you via email if we have to reschedule due to bad weather. Please trust that your instructors are watching detailed weather forecasts and will never put you in an unsafe or unenjoyable situation.
ABOUT OUR OTHER COMMUNITY SOCIAL PADDLES
Our Community Social Paddles run adhoc throughout the year as a way to welcome new paddlers to She SUPs, create a safe and supportive atmosphere for everyone to find and meet potential new paddle buddies and provide an opportunity for you find 90-120 minutes in your busy schedule to get out on the water to gain all the benefits being on and near water brings. Often these paddles are themed as we celebrate unique events and holidays throughout the year.
