She SUPs Philippines SUP Adventure

Join She SUPs for a bucket-list 10 day, 9 night SUP adventure to the beautiful islands of the Philippines.

ABOUT THIS TRIP

We are so excited to return for our third year to the wonderful Philippines. Join us on this once-in-a-lifetime SUP adventure, based around two islands; Bohol and Coron. This trip is a fully immersive SUP holiday curated exclusively for She SUPs paddlers, filled with a diverse range of paddles, cultural experiences and more. We will be aiming to paddle almost every day, with paddles varying from 3-9km in length. Around this our activities include swimming in waterfalls, visiting local villages, tasting local dishes and plenty of rest time by the water with a coconut in hand! 🥥

But the true magic of the Philippines isn’t just in the beautiful paddle destinations… it’s in the people. We are so grateful to work with such wonderful local Trip Hosts, Local Guides, and hotel staff who have a way of making you feel like you belong from the moment you arrive. Their warmth is effortless, their smiles genuine, and their hospitality almost legendary. Prepare to fall in love with the Philippines…

STYLE/VIBE OF THE TRIP:
“I’m up for a true adventure”
”I want to travel the world and SUP as I go”

The Philippines has its own unique rhythm, and part of the magic is embracing the unexpected. Things may not always run with the same structure or pace as Australia, and that’s completely normal. Approaching the experience with patience, curiosity, and a willingness to go with the flow makes all the difference. An openness to cultural nuances, trying new cuisines, and adapting to local styles of accommodation is essential in any guest who joins us - and will lead you to having the most unforgettable experience.

SUP ABILITY LEVEL
(She SUPs trips range from Level 0-4 in SUP ability):

Level 2: Beginner/Intermediate Paddlers - You should feel comfortable paddling multiple times in one week and up to 8km.

FITNESS LEVEL
(She SUPs trips range from Level 0-4 in Fitness Level):

Level 3: A considerate level of fitness is required to enjoy this highly active trip, you should be someone who likes to be outside and moving during an adventure holiday like this so that we can make the most of all the Philippines has to offer! We paddle 4 x big paddle days of 8-9km during this trip, plus 2 x smaller paddles and have multiple opportunities to snorkel. Some waterfalls and sights involve multiple steps.

Where we are staying

We have upgraded some of our hotels and accomodations for 2026! So if your friends have been on this trip already, you may have a slightly different (and hopefully even better!) experience. This trip will feature three bases, and all are very different accommodations.

MANILA: The first night will be spent in a hotel in central Manila. Manila is a large (and intense) city, and it’s easy to be overwhelmed by it if you’ve never travelled to Asia before, so we’ll be staying in a tourist-friendly high-rise hotel. The hotel has a pool, is close to the Mall of Asia and the international airport, so if you want to arrive early and drop your bags you can easily amuse yourself for a few hours! We will meet up with the group here, have our first introductions and first night’s sleep and then depart the following morning.

BOHOL: Our second base are traditional cottages in a nature resort (4 nights) in the heart of Bohol Island. On this part of the trip we truly immerse in local Filipino culture, meeting the local villagers who live around us and sampling some incredible local cuisine. Guests will be staying in traditional style cottages (built by hand!) and will enjoy the slower pace of life at this river-side haven. Due to these cottages being built by hand, they are all unique shapes and sizes, with some being single storey cottages dotted amongst the palms in the beautiful gardens and some double storey cottages with balconies overlooking the rice paddies. These cottages do not have air conditioning, but we normally find the room fans and natural breeze is sufficient.

CORON: Our final accomodation is close to the centre of the town of Coron. This resort-style hotel with swimming pool (and air conditioning!) will provide an amazing base for our full-day boat trips out to paddle around Coron Island. When we’re not paddling, guests will have the opportunity to relax by the pool with a cocktail, or catch a tricycle into town for massages, unique dinner options and souvenir shopping!

Experience two VERY unique SUP experiences, paddling amongst the palm trees of Bohol (above), and through the hidden coves of Coron (below).

Frequently Asked Questions

  • That’s perfect!! She SUPs trips and retreats are designed with single travellers in mind and we actually ENCOURAGE single travellers to book in alone rather than finding a friend to bring as you’re likely to get way more out of the trip.

90% of our attendees book in without knowing anyone. We guarantee that within the safe supportive environment that She SUPs cultivates, by the end of the weekend you’ll leave having had an awesome time with some new water-loving friends!

  • To make it easier to understand what’s in store for a trip, we rate our trips on a 0-4 Fitness Rating.

This trip is a Level 3 style trip: A considerate level of fitness is required to enjoy this highly active trip, you should be someone who likes to be outside and moving during an adventure holiday like this so that we can make the most of all the Philippines has to offer!

We paddle 4 x big paddle days of 8-9km during this trip, plus 2 x smaller paddles and have multiple opportunities to snorkel.

Some waterfalls and sights involve multiple steps.

  • To make it easier to understand what’s in store for a trip, we rate our trips on a 0-4 SUP Ability Rating.

This trip is a Level 2/3 - Beginner/Intermediate Paddlers due to the number of consecutive days we will be paddling. Beginner/Intermediate paddlers means you have experience paddling 8km, and you feel comfortable paddling for multiple days but you’re of course welcome to paddle sat down or on your knees at any time.

We will be paddling on calm rivers in Bohol and in bays/exposed water conditions around Coron Island. Two very unique SUP experiences.

  • If you’ve never travelled to this part of the world before, expect a country that’s vibrant, warm, and wonderfully different from Australia.

The Philippines has its own unique rhythm; life moves a little slower, plans can shift, and the unexpected often becomes part of the adventure. Patience and a relaxed attitude will serve you well!!

You can expect incredibly friendly locals who are generous, welcoming, and often very curious about visitors.

English is widely spoken, so communicating is usually easy and enjoyable.

The landscapes are stunning and diverse: from the turquoise waters of Coron, lush jungles of Bohol, and lively local markets and nightlife of Manila. At the same time, infrastructure can vary; so transport, accommodation, and general logistics may feel less predictable than what you’re used to at home. That’s totally normal here.

You’ll find delicious and fascinating food, from fresh seafood to local favourites you may not have tried before. Being open-minded with cuisine and cultural customs will make your experience even richer.

In short: expect warmth, beauty, adventure, and a different pace of life. The more you embrace the cultural differences, the more magical your time in the Philippines will be.

  • With all outdoor based trips and retreats, the final itinerary is always weather dependent (with paddle boarding in particular being wind dependent). The weather forecast will be monitored daily (and in many circumstances hourly) by your instructors, and our itinerary will be adjusted each day to make the most of the forecast. If the wind is looking challenging for our paddles we will aim to find an area that may be protected so that we can still take to the water in a safe manner, however our route and distance may be reduced. If the conditions look unsafe to paddle for the whole weekend, your Host will find alternative activities for you to do.

We ask you to understand that we cannot offer a refund if the itinerary is different to your expectations or any itineraries referenced on the She SUPs website.

If we need to change an activity due to the weather or other forces outside of our control, you can guarantee that our team will be working hard to ensure you still have an action-packed weekend.

Please note; the Philippines can have big downpours which may impact our ability to visit certain waterfalls or rivers. We will adapt your itinerary as necessary to ensure you still have an amazing activity schedule even if we have to remove a waterfall due to heavy rain.

  • She SUPs Trips are open to all women (and non-binary individuals) over the age of 18. Typically most guests are between the ages of 25 - 70, but there is no maximum age limit.

When we’re out exploring on our trips, age becomes irrelevant as the whole group always bonds over their shared experiences and love of the outdoors regardless of the year they were born!

  • You can arrive anytime on Day 1. If you’re in Manila early, you can use the WhatsApp chat to meet your new trip-mates and get exploring the city, or if you wish to arrive that evening, that is also possible.

Your host will officially commence the trip with a trip briefing in Manila at approximately 20:00 on Day 1 (this allows for those on the direct Sydney flight to arrive at 18:50). If your flight is delayed, the group will aim to wait for you for the briefing unless you arrive later than 21:30. If this occurs, the host will save the trip briefing for breakfast time).

FLIGHTS: We have purposefully left day one as a travel day so that you have plenty of time to reach Manila and ensure no delays impact in your trip. Cebu Pacific, Qantas and Philippines Airlines all offer a direct non-stop flight to Manila from Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane if you wish to avoid connections.

This trip finishes around midday on the final day in Manila.

As long as your flight is an evening flight (after 5pm), you’re welcome to book any flight back to Australia. Your Coron departure would be scheduled to land in Manila around 10.30am/11am morning, but we advise an evening flight so that if there are any travel delays you definitely won’t miss your onward international flight. The domestic flight from Coron to Manila is pretty muchalwaysdelayed. The domestic airport in Coron often has power cuts and all sorts of issues. Some previous She SUPs trips have had only a 15-20 minute delay, but one trip there was a 4 hour delay. So it's best to plan for an evening departure in Manila. With the spare time you have on your final day, you can opt to go sightseeing in Manila or book a day pass at a hotel with a swimming pool to relax and rest (we can help direct you to which hotel).

All of this information and more (i.e. how to get from the airport to the hotel/ which hotel you're staying at in Manila etc) will be documented in the Trip Notes page which you'd receive after booking.

  • Go for it! Staying on before or after a trip is always an awesome way to make the most out of visiting an area.

Please note, the She SUPs team does not have the capacity to support you in finding accomodation before or after a trip, but you’re welcome to ask for suggestions from others in the trip WhatsApp group or even pal up with someone from the trip to share a room.

If you’ve never been to the Philippines before and would like to extend your trip, we would advise that Manila is probably not the best place to spend more than a couple of days. It’s a hot and intense city, so many paddlers enjoy spending 1-2 days there before the trip and after the trip if they’d like to add another week, we recommend extending to another island of the Philippines.

  • She SUPs aims to offer a mix of shared and private rooms on each trip.

Many light sleepers or snorers choose to book a private room.

We offer shared rooms as a way of making trips more affordable and accessible to all. All shared rooms feature individual beds for each individual so you will never be required to a share a bed.

For many women, sharing a room with others is a new experience (or something they haven’t experienced since their teens!) But fear not, 9 times out of 10, it’s absolutely fine as an adult too.

If you’re a light sleeper and sharing a room, please let us know before arrival so we are aware. You host will have ear plugs in case of snorers, and we advise that you bring anything else that may help you sleep better such as your favourite pillow, an eye mask, a heat pack, lavender oil, chamomile tea etc.

After hosting hundreds of women on our trips, we have found that some guests don’t sleep very well on the first night as they are often subconsciously apprehensive about the weekend. But once they relax into the retreat and we’re keeping active every day, they sleep soundly every night! Please keep your host notified of your sleep patterns if you’re not getting much sleep. There will be plenty of nap opportunities during the day time too.

  • Allergies and intolerances will be passed onto our Philippines team however please note, we are entering a developing country and options may be limited.

In the Philippines we have found Gluten Free/Celiac can be the biggest challenge to cater to, as there are often no gluten free alternatives. Vegan is not a challenge in Bohol but can be a challenge in Coron.

We do not have control over restaurants or cafes we visit during the trip, so please inform waitstaff of your allergies and intolerances at the time of visiting.

  • Upon booking this trip, you must have adequate travel insurance that covers you for cancellation.

We hope you do not need to cancel your trip, however, if cancellation takes place the following will apply.

Cancellation of a booking by you must be made in writing. It is up to you to cancel your booking. We will not regard a booking as cancelled unless and until written notice is received by She SUPs.

To see if you qualify for a refund, please familiarise yourself with our full terms and conditions via this link and specifically refer to the PHILIPPINES TRIP TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

IMPORTANT! Please note these terms are different to our general T&Cs and are dictated by our Philippines Agent.

  • You should have adequate travel insurance that covers you for cancellation.

Transfers are not allowed for this trip.

Please see our full cancellation policy here (scroll down to Philippines Trip Terms and Conditions).
