Lane Cove National Park Family SUP Safari

📍on Cameraygal Country
We pay our respects and show gratitude to the
Cameraygal people who are the Traditional Custodians of the land we paddle on.

Are you looking to share your love of stand-up paddleboarding with your kids but would like a safe, controlled environment that features no boats, no waves, and is led by a qualified SUP instructor? This Lane Cove National Park SUP Safari is for you!

This 2 hour SUP experience is designed for adults, teens and kids who want a facilitated learning and adventure experience. Gain new SUP skills and embark on a nature fuelled paddle in Sydney’s beautiful Lane Cove National Park. This is a MIXED GENDER paddle, so we love to see kids, parents, partners, aunts and uncles and grandparents!

Due to the size of the paddleboards, the minimum age for this paddle is 9 years old. We love paddling with kids under 9, however they tend to need a little extra support with the big boards. So if your kids are under 9 years old, please email hello@shesups.com.au so we can book you in for a private version of this tour just for your family/group.

We will launch from deep inside Lane Cove National Park where the river is extremely protected and has no motor-boat traffic making it an ideal location for families. We will start with learning the basic skills to ensure everyone can turn, stop and paddle in a straight line; we will then embark on a short paddle up stream to see what wildlife we can spot! Expect to see cockatoos, cormorants, water dragons and more!

Please note: this is NOT a ‘drop your kids and leave’ paddle. This is designed for adults AND children, so please ensure there is at least one adult attending within your party.

COST

2 Hour Guided SUP Session + SUP Safari Tour:
$109 for Adults (+ FREE SUP HIRE)
$69 for Children (+ FREE SUP HIRE)

Upon booking below, you will be making a booking for YOURSELF. Then please select the relevant ‘ADD-ONS’ to add the kids and adults accompanying you (e.g. if it’s you, your friend and 2 kids, add +1 Extra Adult and +2 Children). If you have a larger group than the booking system can support, please email hello@shesups.com.au so we can book you in on the back end.

We are not providing a BYO option for this tour because when there are kids involved, things can get a little crazy. So we will provide all paddleboards and equipment on this occasion to keep things simple.

ABILITY LEVEL

This paddle is suitable for ALL abilities (including beginners who have never paddled before!)
Minimum age 9 years old.
Maximum age 110.

Ability to swim is a mandatory safety requirement for this group activity. If anyone in your group cannot swim, please book a private session NOT this group session.

WEATHER

The She SUPs team will be in touch with you via SMS if the weather (in particular wind) conditions look unsafe to paddle and we will arrange to reschedule the paddle or provide a refund. Please assume we are proceeding as normal if you don't hear from us, and trust that we will never run a paddle if it's unsafe to do so. Often generalist forecasts like Apple and Google forecasts are not accurate enough for paddling, so your instructor will be analysing more in-depth weather charts to decide whether to proceed.

MEETING POINT

These paddles are run from Lane Cove National Park. Details about meeting point and what to wear/bring are shared once you have booked in for this lesson.
