She SUPs Sports Day!

If you’re ready for some FUN - the She SUPs Sports Day is for you! Have you ever wondered what it’s like to paddle a 22ft SUP with 3 other people? Or perhaps you’ve wondered what would happen if you tried hula hooping or even skipping on your SUP? Let’s try it all at this fun event that encourages PLAY! This great event will enhance your skills, improve your balance and leave you laughing for the rest of the weekend.

ABOUT THE SHE SUPS SPORTS DAY

Back in March 2023 She SUPs ran our first ‘Dragon SUP Tournament’ and it was SO MUCH FUN. If you weren’t there imagine 12 teams of 4, everyone in different costumes, racing, laughter, paddleboards going everywhere, prize giving and so so much fun! So we’ve been attempting to bring back the Dragon SUP Tournament ever since but it’s a HUGE event to get off the ground so it’s taking a little longer than planned... However because most paddlers have never come across a Dragon SUP before, we had an idea! What if we run a smaller ‘fun’ Sports Day, where you get to ‘try’ a Dragon SUP, no crowd watching, as well as trying heaps of other fun games and activations that will enhance your skills, improve your balance AND teach you how to fall safely and self-rescue!!

And so, the She SUPs Sports Day was born.

This event is perfect for you if:

  • You’re craving a fun, non-competitive day on the water.

  • You love meeting other amazing women who don’t take themselves too seriously.

  • You want to feel more confident and capable on your board (including with falling and self rescue!)

  • You just want to LAUGH. A lot.

WEATHER

The She SUPs team will be in touch with you via SMS if the weather (in particular wind) conditions look unsafe to paddle and we will arrange to reschedule the paddle or provide a refund. Please assume we are proceeding as normal if you don't hear from us, and trust that we will never run a paddle if it's unsafe to do so. Often generalist forecasts like Apple and Google forecasts are not accurate enough for paddling, so your instructor will be analysing more in-depth weather charts to decide whether to proceed.
